ARTS PROGRAMME

The autumn term of arts activities starts the week beginning Monday 7th September. Please see What’s On page for more details. You can sing with The Bartones choir or try Samba dancing, pottery or painting and drawing. There is a drop in art session for parents on Fridays called Dreamtime Art, which has a crèche for 0 - 4 year olds. On Saturdays there is an art club for 7 - 14 year olds, where children can try a range of activities from animation to felt making.

Phoenix52 is a new community arts project run by and for residents living in East Bristol. The group, which already includes artists, makers, photographers, sculptors, musicians and performers, is organising a range of creative opportunities and activities in the area over the coming months, culminating in a creative community festival in July 2009. The group meet at 6.30pm on the first Wednesday of the month in the art room.
For more information please see the website http://www.phoenix52.co.uk/

We also work in partnership to deliver projects and events with other organisations including the Barton Hill Settlement, University of the West of England and Youth Project at Community at Heart.

In the Wellspring there is a large, well-stocked art room and a variety of equipment available for hire including, badge maker, sewing machine and digital cameras.
