Our aim with this project is to show how small and medium size businesses can do this, what the potential benefits are to the business and employees, produce case studies of business that take part and produce relevant information and tool kits for use by businesses.
In the future the government may ask businesses to take a more active role in supporting the health and wellbeing of their employees. This is for a number of reasons including: helping companies be more profitable, reducing the cost to the health service, an increased focus on protecting and promoting positive health and wellbeing and as a nation we are living and working longer and therefore need to be healthy for longer.
