Health Visiting Service
What do we do:
The Health visiting team works primarily with children under 5 years of age and their families. They provide and support a range of health interventions in Wellspring, Barton Hill Primary School and Children’s Centre and Barton Hill Settlement or in the home.
These include:
• New birth visits
• Breast feeding support
• Practical advice and support with infant nutrition, feeding, sleep and behavioral issues
• Immunisations
• Accident prevention
• Health promotion and reviews
• Support for parents
• Sexual health advice
• Safeguarding children
Who we are
The team consists of:
• Health Visitors
• Community Staff Nurse
• Nursery Nurse
• Family Support Workers.
