Wellspring is a company limited by guarantee and has a voluntary board of directors made up of 8 residents and 1 doctor.
It serves the residents of Easton and Lawrence Hill ward in inner city Bristol.
Wellspring delivers services in and for the community it is located, many of the staff are local residents providing local wealth creation, it provides services along side traditional medical services and delivers some statutory services but not following a traditional medical model. Wellspring Healthy Living Centre has been open for five years; it is a community led organisation with a building located at the heart of its catchment area and a good track record of providing statuary and voluntary sector health related services to meet community needs.

If you have benefited or would like to benefit from the services at Wellspring and are interested in supporting and influencing its growth and development, then we want to hear from you. Wellspring Healthy Living Centre is a community owned and run building. Local people have formed a board of directors and make decisions around staffing, services, spending and accessibility for different community groups. Wellspring needs residents who bring general skills to the board as well as specific experience in business, finance and personnel. If you have these skills gained from work or volunteering on boards or want to make a difference to local health and wellbeing services for this area, then please get in touch with us.
You don’t have to be an expert at everything, the most important thing is your passion for making a difference. Training and development will be provided in a supportive environment. Disabled people, and residents from black and minority ethnic communities are currently under represented on our board
