Dr. Christine Hoyte
Role: Senior GP Partner

Special Interests: I insert coils, and advise and prescribe for other contraceptive methods. I speak French a little.
Notes: have worked in Barton Hill since 1981. It has been a pleasure getting to know the people and the families in this area. I enjoy General Practice because of the variety of problems people bring to me.

Dr. Sarah Jahfar

Special Interests: I can speak French, German and Sorani Kurdish (taught by my husband who is from Kurdistan in Iraq)
Notes: worked in local Bristol hospitals between 1989 and 1994. I joined the surgery in 1994 as a GP Trainee and became a permanent GP here in 1997. I am interested in all aspects of inner city General Practice and enjoy the great diversity that we meet in this job. I am married and have two sons (born in 1992 & 1995) and a daughter (born in 1994). My main outside interest is my family, but I also enjoy learning to play the flute, cycling whenever I can, (usually to work!)and socialising.

When I am not at the practice, I am working for Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset Primary Care Trusts as their Research and Development Lead. I am also on the board of Wellspring Healthy Living Centre Ltd.

Notes: I have been a GP for over 10 years and started at Wellspring in February 2006. I work all day Wednesdays. My other job is as a teacher in the medical school. I have a special interest in using Complementary Medicine and make regular use of acupuncture and homeopathy
