If you're interested in getting involved at Wellspring either in paid employment or as a volunteer, this is where you'll find the info you need.
Position: Gardening and Allotment Volunteers
About the role
We are always on the look out for volunteers who keen to get involved with our allotment project.
Our next allotment volunteers session is on Tuesday 13th June. It is a short evening session where we'll be removing rubbish and clearing more space for the allotment. This is a great opportunity to support a community project, to get close to nature and to enjoy improving your own sense of health and wellbeing.
Contact David on 0117 3041432 or email email@example.com for more information.
Please note: our allotment is at Beaufort Road
Position: Trustee of Wellspring Healthy Living Centre
Volunteer Role: 2-3 hours a month
Contract Details: Minimum 12 month commitment
About the role
Wellspring is a community-owned, purpose-built health and wellbeing facility offering a huge range of services to our community and at the forefront of the social prescribing approach to tackling health inequalities. We operate both locally and through our partnerships, across Bristol to build resilience in communities.
We are hoping to attract 3 – 4 new Trustees to the Board of Wellspring Healthy Living Centre. Trustees are expected to attend six Board meetings annually and are encouraged to use their skills and expertise to contribute to various sub-groups.
Before you commit to the role you will be invited to attend three Board or sub-group meetings so that you can gain an understanding of the nature of the role and its demands.
Wellspring has a focus on the locality of Lawrence Hill and Easton (BS5) and we would be particularly keen to recruit Trustees who live in the area. If you have a passion for community-led health and wellbeing solutions but do not live locally, we would also value your experience and do welcome a minority of non-local Trustees to our Board.
The Chair is particularly interested in recruiting members who reflect our diverse community and with experience and expertise in the following areas:
- NHS contracting
- migrant health
- clinical supervision
- communications and marketing
