The Building
The WHLC is an impressive and unique environmentally friendly building, with 100sqm of special solar panels generating enough electricity to light twelve three-bedroom houses every year. In 2004 it won a Civic Society Award for being an environmental improvement to the city. Wellspring recieved the Community Venue of the Year Voscur award in 2008.
There are seven permanent specially commissioned artworks in the entrance to the WHLC which make it welcoming for visitors old and new. The artworks were influenced by the designs of local residents who worked alongside professional artists to create the finished pieces.
