Thermal Auricular Therapy (also known as Hopi Ear Candles) is a pleasant and non-invasive treatment of the ears, used to treat a variety of conditions. These ear candles induce a revitalising heat upon the head and ears, which soothes, relieves and relaxes.

McTimoney Chiropractic:
What is it?
Chiropractic is a way of adjusting the bones of the body to maintain the correct alignment of the spine and to ensure that the body’s nerve supply works efficiently. If part of the spine column becomes misaligned a nerve may become compressed or stretched which may lead to pain or restricted mobility.
Through subtle adjustments chiropractic treatment can relieve pain and discomfort, increase mobility, and provide a route to better health. The main aim is to improve the alignment of the spine to free the nerves.
The gentle nature of the McTimoney Chiropractic technique makes it suitable for all.

What the treatment will be like?
The Chiropractor will take your full case history regarding general health as well as the details of the symptoms. Some simple tests may be done to help arrive at a chiropractic diagnosis. The chiropractor will examine your joints and makes appropriate adjustments when necessary. McTimoney Chiropractics use light, low force adjustments and check the whole body because the body will compensate for a symptom, causing other symptoms.
The chiropractor will also give advice you on good posture, the best way to lift, carry shopping, and sit at your desk or in the car.

Osteopathy:
What is it?
Osteopathy is well-established system of diagnosis and effective manual treatment.
Osteopaths use a highly developed sense of touch to assess the relationship between the structure and function of the body. This means if we have a good structural balance we are more likely to be healthy and free from pain. If we are out of balance through some sort of injury, illness, or stress we may feel pain or discomfort in our bodies.

What the treatment will be like?
The Osteopath will take your medical history and review your overall health. They will carry out a full examination so this may mean you will have to remove some outer clothing.
Osteopathy is known as a ‘hands on’ therapy. It focuses on you as an individual, which means your treatment is tailored for your needs. A variety of manual techniques work to release restricted joints, ease tight muscles and consequently restore normal function for nerves and blood flow. The manipulation can range from extremely gentle to more dynamic. Your muscles may feel sore after your appointment but the treatment is not painful. You may receive instructions for specific exercises, as well as postural and lifestyle advice.

Reflexology:
What is it?
Reflexology works points on the feet that are a reflection of the body. The feet are reflected images of the body, with the head at the toes, and the rest of the body following down the foot. The foot becomes a map of the body, with each part of the body being represented on the foot. It is like a foot massage but with purpose, working with pressure and different types of strokes to deeply massage and relieve the major organs and systems of the body.

What will my treatment be like?
You will be given a full consultation, with the therapist finding out what is going on for you on a mind, body and spirit level. You will then be asked to lay down on your back with your feet up and supported so you are fully comfortable. The therapist will then visualise the map of your body and start to massage the areas that relate to the symptoms or difficulties you have described.

Reiki:
What is it?
Reiki was discovered by Dr Usui whilst placing hands on a patient he felt energy pouring through him into the body of his patients. This energy supported their healing and brought a sense of well being and spiritual connection to his patients that had not previously been experienced. He named this energy Rei (universal or transcendental) Ki ( life force energy).
